My first loaf of homemade bread! It tastes better than store-bought and is healthier, what with the no preservitives. I used this recipe and it can out good after I called my grandmother a few times for advice. The directions did not say to add water.
Also, my January socks for the Great 2009 Sock Off are finished and feel and look great.

Nice! We make homemade bread quite often. There's one quick simple recipe that uses ONLY 2 2/3 cups self-rising flour and one 12-oz can of beer. Mix, bake.
I like home made butter to go with the bread, also a simple recipe: pour one pint heavy whipping cream into a bowl, go at it with the mixer till it solidifies. Refrigerate. Pour off the liquid that forms on top. Tadaa, you have pure, unsalted, undyed butter.
Congratulations on finishing your socks! I still have an hour or two left on my scarf before I can concentrate on the January socks again. They might end up being February socks after all.
